St Bees Beach
St Bees beach is gently sloping and is made up of sand with shingle at the high tide mark. It's a great beach for the kids and there are rock pools to mooch around in at low tide. St Bees is also known for it's gem stones which are uncovered by the tides. The beach is about a mile long and there is a small promenade, Further along is St Bees Head with its pretty sandstone cliffs which is popular with walkers.
